The churches your St Mark’s ticket also opens
Since 1 July 2025, every ticket that includes the Basilica also lets you into 34 other churches and sites in Venice and the lagoon, at any time within six months of buying it. This is the official list, as the Basilica’s tariff gives it, and how the arrangement works.
Key facts
- Which tickets
- every ticket that includes a visit to the Basilica
- Sites
- 34, plus the Casa di The Human Safety Net in the Procuratie
- Valid
- within six months of the date of purchase
- Since
- 1 July 2025
How it works
The Basilica’s tariff states it in one sentence: since 1 July 2025, all tickets that include a visit to the Basilica also allow you to visit, within six months of the date of purchase, the sites listed below. Any valid Basilica ticket also gives free entry to the Casa di The Human Safety Net, in the Procuratie on the Piazza.
Two details matter:
- The Basilica keeps its slot. You enter St Mark’s only at the time you booked; the six months apply to the other sites.
- The machines work both ways. The same sites have automatic ticket machines that sell Basilica tickets, with the choice of the slots still free — another place to buy once you are in the city (see also when the shop shows no slots).
The tariff does not give these churches’ opening hours, which are each church’s own; check them before crossing the city.

Is it worth planning around?
If you are in Venice for more than a day, yes: a Basilica ticket at €10.00 becomes the key to a good part of the city’s churches for half a year. The list covers every district of the city as well as Torcello in the northern lagoon, so the offer suits a visitor who walks — or one who comes back within the six months.
Frequently asked questions
Does the St Mark’s Basilica ticket include other churches?
Yes. Since 1 July 2025 every ticket that includes the Basilica also opens 34 other Venetian churches and sites, within six months of purchase, and the Casa di The Human Safety Net in the Procuratie.
Do I have to visit the other churches on the same day?
No. The Basilica must be visited in the slot you booked; the other sites can be visited at any time within six months of the purchase date.
Can I buy a St Mark’s ticket at one of these churches?
Yes. The tariff says the sites have automatic ticket machines where you can buy a Basilica ticket, choosing one of the slots still available.
Does the Campanile ticket count?
The tariff extends the offer to tickets that include the Basilica. The Campanile ticket is sold on its own and does not include the Basilica.
