Cookies
This site sets no cookie before you answer the banner. If you refuse, it sets none at all. Here is the full list of what can be stored in your browser, and why.
Before you answer
Nothing. The pages, fonts and images come from this site, and no third-party script is loaded.
Your answer itself
Your choice is remembered in your browser’s local storage, under the name sanmarco.consent.v1, not in a cookie. It holds only “accepted” or “refused”, so that the banner does not ask again on every page. Clearing your browser data removes it.
If you accept: Google Analytics
| Name | Set by | What it is for | How long |
|---|---|---|---|
_ga |
Google Analytics | Tells one visit from another, anonymously | 2 years |
_ga_… |
Google Analytics | Keeps the state of a visit | 2 years |
IP addresses are anonymised and advertising features are off. The durations are Google’s defaults, described in Google’s documentation.
If you open the Google map
The map page loads a Google map only when you press its button. Google may then set its own cookies, under Google’s policy.
After you leave this site
When you follow a link to Viator or the Basilica’s ticket shop, those sites set their own cookies under their own policies; affiliate cookies there may record that you came from this guide.
Changing your mind
Use the Cookie settings link at the bottom of every page to see the banner again and change your answer, or delete the site’s data in your browser’s settings. More on how we handle data is in the privacy policy.
